New York designer, Betsey Johnson, has built her career in fashion by following her own rules. Known for her over the top celebrations, Betsey has been in the industry with her unique and rebellious style since the 1960's. Born in Connecticut and spent her childhood in dance classes. Her desire to be a dancer and her love for the costumes was a huge influence for Betsey's creativity and inspiration. In 1964, Betsey won the scene byh winning Mademoiselle magazine's "Great Editor Contest". Since when, She hasn't stop the ball from rolling. Later on the year, she landed with a top designer position for Paraphernalia, a clothing boutique housed by the hottest young London designers.
